March 4, 2022
Dear Shareholder:
On Monday March 7 2022, Central Preservation Inc, will begin working to complete a masonry repair and window sealant project on the building’s East Elevation.
The delivery and installation of the scaffold and swing stages is currently underway, work is expected to commence on Monday.
The project is expected to take 8-10 weeks to complete. Work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. each weekday, with no noisy work before 9:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m.
From the onset of this project, work will involve cutting, chipping, grinding and removal of masonry. Work will also include the replacement of deteriorating window sealants. These operations will create dust and some vibration of the exterior walls in your apartment. While unlikely, it is possible that these vibrations may result in pictures and/or items on shelving units to be moved, and in extreme cases to fall. The dust that will be generated by grinding is very fine and may be able to easily find its way into the building.
A number of precautions are recommended to help minimize these problems,
including:
* Secure all pictures and objects from your apartment’s Eastern walls.
* Keep all windows closed.
* Do not assume that your windows can be open because work is being performed above, below or adjacent to your apartment. The wind will blow dust and dirt around the outside of the building.
* To ensure your privacy, you may also wish to keep your drapes/blinds
closed when workers are in close proximity to your residence
Should you experience any dust infiltrating into your apartment (even if your windows are closed) please contact the building staff immediately and someone from the maintenance department will locate the source of the infiltration and seal that area.
Please contact me should you have any questions regarding this project.
Sincerely,
Janet E. Hope, CMCA
